As part of the Arts in Healthcare team at Cardiff and Vale UHB, I manage and coordinate Arts projects on numerous sites within the Health Board. Our aim is to provide a more holistic approach for caring for our patients and providing stimulating environments, both indoor and outdoors for our patients, staff and visitors

As Senior Execuitve Assistant and Business Manager, I managed the diaries and day to day work for the Chair of Cardiff and Vale UHB and the Independent Members of the Board, I also managed a team of around 15 Executive Assistants and Administrative staff, covering all aspects from work planning, Human Resources and Personal Appraisal and Development. As well as personnel management, I also managed the organisation and maintenance of the Headquarters building, including coordination of jobs and ensuring Health and Safety Standards were met.My time in this role was crucial to the develpment of my personnel and time management skills as well as developing a wide knowledge of the NHS in Wales and its associated systems. The ability to think and act quickly whilst ensureing that policies, procedures and governance standards were maintained was an important element of the role and one I have taken forward and further developed in my career to date.
