As China Regional Expert consultant, I assisted the tech startup/music genome project Echo Nest - now acquired by Spotify - in learning about Chinese music so they may successfully enter the Chinese market. Responsibilities included Genre Review, Playlist Review, and Audio Content Acquisition. As a consultant, most of my time was spent researching Chinese music providers, review sites, and charts that monitor netizen preference.

For a year and a half, I worked as the Booking Manager responsible for contacting and hiring all sorts of entertainment acts for the oldest student-run pub in the United States (mostly bands). Since 1927, the Cave has been a space for students of Carleton College to study, socialize and see live music. I selected and negotiated contracts with various entertainment acts (both American & International),oversaw contract compliance, and I was exclusively responsible for an annual budget of $27,000. I also took care of marketing/promotion, using multiple forms of social media to promote shows on campus, locally, in addition to the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Working in the admissions office of Carleton College, my responsibilities consisted of interviewing prospective students and following up with drafting their write-ups that would later be added to each student's application. I also led campus tours, and took care of errands and other general work around the office.
