"We're abandoning our next unit to learn about climate change." That's what my second grade social studies teacher said and since then, I have been absorbed in climate change work. Throughout middle school, my interest continued taking form through science fairs, fundraisers, and a student-led initiatives. During high school and university, I found all the different aspects of society that climate change impacts and that it's not just limited to the temperature and weather patterns changing.I have not only followed my interest in climate change, but it has expanded to include the interplay between climate change, human-health, infrastructure resilience & adaptation, and the dissemination of climate information & data. Looking to explore options in research and work in environmental epidemiology, working directly with impacted communities and populations to understand in great detail who is being affected, how they are being affected, and what action can be taken now and in the future to protect everyone from climate change.Extremely passionate about traveling when I can and getting back into racquetball and rock climbing ✈️🧗♀️
