I grew up as a kid in Hong Kong and it forever informed my world view. I learned from an early age that people come from all different walks of life, to never be judgmental and to always ask questions to find my way around. After studying political science and law at University of Illinois, I wanted to become a sports agent and be like Jerry Maguire. After talking to a few folks that did that for a job, I quickly realized contract law wasn't as glamorous as I thought. I began my career in student housing real estate. I traveled to over 65 different college campuses and realized that even our own country was wildly different depending on where you grew up. Moving into food technology partnerships helped me appreciate small business ownership from doing business with hundreds of restaurant owners across the country. After that I tried selling commercial painting, communication software, art and data for startups ranging from bootstrapped to seed round, Series A and B. My true passions are meeting interesting people, solving problems and listening to stories. I geek out on expansion and believe the world is a big place with lots of opportunity, but also a small place where it helps to know the right people. My mission is to help brands, founders and sales teams tell compelling stories that inspire; design playbooks that scale efficiently and build concrete centers of truths for revenue systems. I rely on intuition, optimism and testing hypotheses to better understand data and inform future-forward decision making.
