A professionally credentialed Clinical Laboratory Scientist through the ASCP; my career experience began as a generalist in a highly reputable clinical laboratory at the Ohio State University Medical Center. The excellent education and early work experience I received at Ohio State helped me then pivot to my role as a Clinical Applications Specialist for Sysmex, a world leader in Hematology analyzers and medical devices. My professional passion lies in customer support, product and process development, technical applications, and customer training. I returned to the clinical lab as a generalist to increase my experience and pursue more balance in my life. I took on the role of General Laboratory Supervisor for the regional medical center in CO where I relocated as I saw this as an opportunity to really challenge myself in a different way. I love learning and sharing my experience and my knowledge with others, this is what fulfills me most. Outside of work my passion lies in the outdoors; I am a rock climber, mountaineer, trail runner, avid mountain biker, surfer, and aspiring conservationist. I also support and volunteer for a few great organizations that promote environmental stewardship and responsible recreation initiatives.
