As Sustainability Specialist, I am responsible for facilitating, tracking and helping implement the goals outlined in Orange County's Sustainability plan. This plan is a comprehensive document for Orange County and requires inter-department cooperation. The document addresses the community, natural resources, mobility, the built environment, arts & culture, education and civic engagement. My focus areas include Low Impact Development (LID), Multi-Modal Transportation, Waste Management, Sustainable Agriculture and Water Conservation.

Class Title: Food in the 21st CenturyDescription: Whether through popular media or at the local grocery store we have all heard the new food terminology: organic, local, all-natural, fair trade etc. This course explores the existing food system from farm to table and clarifies some of these misused and abused terms. At the end of this course you will be able to navigate your local grocery with confidence and improve your health through informed food choices.

Communities around the country are striving to make life better for their citizens through well-designed public spaces, energy-efficient infrastructures, and convenient public transportation. A Master's of Planning in Civic Urbanism provides the skills needed to help cities and towns shape their futures. The program combines classroom work, professional expertise, studio projects, and internships to prepare you for a career in either private practice or government. Grounded in the liberal arts, the program emphasizes integrated knowledge rather than the technical aspects of the field of urban planning.

I was responsible for the design and execution of a two acre organic garden as well environmental science programming. We provide educational workshops, coordinate service learning students, engage community members in an Adopt-a-Plot program and research environmental and agricultural problems through pragmatic initiatives.

USS Catalyst is a surf/skate/clothing/accessories store located in East Orlando. At this position my responsibilties included: receiving all new product, social media management, working the sales floor and event planning.

The children's learning clinic is focused on exploring the working memory deficits of ADHD children in comparison to typically developing children. The implications of this research will hopefully someday illuminate techniques for prevention and possibly treatments for ADHD without the use of harmful psychoactive drugs.
