I'm currently studying at Dundee University - Best University in Scotland (2016, 2017) to be a primary school teacher. I'm hoping to graduate in June next year, starting my probationary year from September 2018.

Working for a very successful offshore recruitment agency, I operated in the subsea division, predominantly placing air and saturation diving supervisors onto vessels and platforms worldwide. Responsible for: • Advertising for positions and short-listing suitable candidates. This included writing and editing advertisements, liaising with external stakeholders to ensure maximum advert exposure and pre-screening and placing all applicants within strict time constraints.• Negotiating rates with both major offshore clients and candidates to all parties’ satisfaction.• Ensuring all personnel had required certification, training, visas and experience to perform their duties offshore. • Generating contracts and legal documents, signing off payroll and invoicing clients.• Organising and editing the bi-monthly newsletter that was sent to all clients and offshore personnel (circa 15,000 recipients), which I continued to assist with many months after leaving. Topics covered included the general climate of the offshore oil and gas industry, spotlight features on projects of interest, coverage of business development events and charity fundraisers as well as more informal articles covering arts, travel and sport.• Managing a large scale annual fundraising event, managing guest lists, planning suitable events for the evening including catering and acting as compère for the night.

Teaching children from ages 4-15 in a private language institution, this represented a cultural and linguistic challenge, which I relished. Responsible for:• Formulating age appropriate lesson plans coupled with a stringent assessment programme to encourage and monitor pupils’ language development.• Providing verbal feedback to parents and creating events to promote the school such as Christmas Show, games days and seasonal cultural occasions. • Recording all learning CDs to be distributed to every pupil across the WalaWala franchise.In addition, I was a private English tutor for a Shanghai businessman, teaching him advanced level conversational English and European history.

I was part of a small team that organized data for dozens of engineers and naval architects.Responsible for:• Conversing with different branches of the company to collate confidential information.• Using high-level computer skills for data entry and filing.
