In a new chapter of life and career. I am a full-time carer for my son, who has severe lung disease, is on full-time respiratory support and has Autism. I advocate for carers' rights at work and in society. Additionally, I work part-time as a Program Support Officer, supporting 155 Residential Aged Care Homes and 450+ Primary Care Clinics with programs that help them navigate the new challenges in healthcare during an ongoing Pandemic. I enjoy this work as it helps one of the most vulnerable cohorts in society, and allows me to balance my caring duties with a fulfilling job.When my family circumstances allow, I will be pursuing my career aspirations as a Human Resources Manager. I was previously a Sales and People leader in the telecommunications industry who transitioned into a career in Recruitment, Human Resources Management and Change Management. I utilised my 5 years of leadership experience managing large sales and customer service teams with the formal knowledge of an HR Masters. My transferable skills and demonstrated experience in sales management, multisite retail management and the recruiting industry are complemented by my Masters in Human Resource Management. My interests and strengths in recruitment, coaching and training, performance management and building positive team cultures have motivated me to pursue this career path. Other responsibilities include the management and distribution of essential PPE to General Practice Clinics, external stakeholder management with 155 aged care facilities and 400+ general practices, service mapping, healthcare market research, data management and reporting of vaccination metrics to internal and external stakeholders2023: Projects I am working on include implementing the Federal Government's Aged Care Reforms based on the Royal Commission Recommendations. These reform projects include an Aged Care Needs Assessment for the new CareFinder service, Telehealth in Residential Aged Care, After-hours Care Planning in Aged Care, Dementia Pathways, and Palliative Care.Additionally, I have conducted service mapping and created pathways for people living with dementia, their carers/family and health professionals. This process included developing resources and collating health service information for the 3 hospital networks in the PHN catchment. I am proud to have led the SEMPHN Living with Dementia project and also coordinate the Aged Care Clinical Referral Pathways project. This year I have also managed the 2023 COVID Vaccine Booster Dose in 157 Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs), liaising with the Department of Health and Aged Care, GPs and RACHs to ensure the residents remain protected against COVID outbreaks. Stakeholder engagement and management, data management and process improvement have been vital skills in managing this vaccination in RACH program. -
