Hello! I'm Alex, an indigenous DMIT: Game Programming student while currently being the president of the Game Creators Space at NAIT. I realized my passion for game development when I was re-watching the Halo: CE and Halo 2 Developer Commentaries. Ever since then I've been dead set on bringing my stories to life in ways that can connect people through the medium that is video games.I've worked on many game development projects since I was a teenager and have made the decision in 2023 to move towards making it my career. During my studies at NAIT, I've had many opportunities to meet people, and eventually had the chance to speak at the Games Discovery Exhibition Developer Conference. I spoke at the panel: Exploring the Talent Pipeline: Questions for the Next Generation of Game Developers.I have a background in leading small teams towards achieving great goals through GCS, which has given me the perspective for problem solving, team collaboration and connecting people through their shared passion of game development. My all-time career goal is to have someone connect and resonate deeply with the stories I want to create.
