The Research Project Manager leads the coordination and management of multi-center research projects across the USTMA network. This role collaborates with investigators, research coordinators, and consortium members to ensure that trials are executed efficiently and in compliance with established guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to study protocols, regulatory standards, and project timelines.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data management, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs, to ensure trial integrity and efficiency.Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress, mitigating risks and maintaining compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and other relevant guidelines.Maintain comprehensive trial documentation, including study protocols, informed consent forms, and regulatory submissions, ensuring consistent and accurate record-keeping.Conduct regular site monitoring visits to assess study conduct, data collection quality, and protocol adherence.Act as the primary liaison for sponsors, investigators, research coordinators, and other stakeholders, fostering clear communication and collaboration.Oversee project budgets to ensure financial oversight without compromising quality standards.Prepare for audits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews, ensuring robust regulatory compliance.Provide mentorship to research coordinators and support staff to build a cohesive and effective research team.

Works as a member of the Mood Disorders Center to identify causes of mood disorders through laboratory and computer-based analytic efforts. Recruits, screens, consents, and schedules participants,manages databases and study procedures, prepares grant proposals, research manuscripts, and annual narratives.

Worked as a member of the SCORE Lab to study brain mechanisms that allow people to recover language, empathy, and other cognitive and communicative functions after stroke in order to improve ways to facilitate recovery. Recruited, screened, and scheduled participants, managed databases, performed sentence splicing and lesion tracings, and conducted acute and follow-up assessments.

Assisted in editing and completing the final report for a six-year award funded by USAID’s Victims of Torture program. Responsibilities included: Compiling data from quarterly reports and study team members, creating and composing citations, designing tables and finalizing data, constructing appendices, and summarizing, drafting, writing, and editing the final report.

Contributed to qualitative research by conducting narrative interviews focused on trauma and displacement with Pittsburgh’s Hill District residents. Gathered appropriate information from participants, and transcribed interviews.
