I have 25 years of experience working as a gas engineer starting with British Gas as an apprentice in 1988. In those years I have built on my skills and expertise and take every opportunity to continue my learning. I am an excellent diagnostic engineer as I have spent the majority of my years as a breakdown engineer.As well as the technical and problem-solving challenges of my job, I enjoy meeting a wide variety of customers and always try to exceed their expectations.I have recently developed my interest in IT as a hobby. For example I have successfully programmed and networked 2 Raspberry Pi mini computers to provide a home media centre and NAS drive. In my spare time I am learning programming in the Python and C# languages. I have also set up a 5-computer network for a previous employer, and built and set up my own home PCs.I have just started studying for a BTEC in Electronics with ICS Learn which I will complete in September 2015. I have also just signed up for an OU degree in Computing/IT with Business which I’ll be starting in February 2015.
