Alex has a Bachelors of Science in Management from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business. At Tulane, he graduated with a double major in Finance and Management with a Specialization in Entrepreneurship. Currently, Alex works at the Macquarie Group where he operates in the FP&A group of Macquarie Capital, primarily assisting the Coverage and Solutions and Macquarie Capital Growth and Technology Principal Finance groups. He assists with various functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. In my role within the FP&A team, I honed my analytical skills to analyze financial data to dissect problems and offer actionable data driven solutions and recommendations to senior stakeholders holders. This experience has equipped me with a strong foundation in data-driven decision making. I have a proven record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting actionable insights to senior management. Formerly, Alex was in the Strategy and Transactions group of Grant Thornton LLP, where he operated as a Senior Associate in the Valuation and Modeling Group. He has assisted companies with equity, debt, intangible, and tangible asset valuations for financial reporting and tax purposes, in accordance with ASC 805 Business Combinations, ASC 350 Intangibles, Goodwill and Other, and ASC 718 Compensation - Stock Compensation, etc.He has also provided financial due diligence services (buy-side and sell-side) including financial analyses on quality of earnings, net working capital, and operating results while utilizing Excel and PowerPoint to prepare reports that help clients formulate strategies, evaluate opportunities, and mitigate risks. awasserstrom97@gmail.com |
