ChairmanN. C. Captive Insurance Association Sep 2012 - Jan 2015Primary duty in 2013 was achieving enactment of the NC Captive Insurance Act (signed by Gov. McCrory on June 19, 2013). Helping organize and conduct the first captive insurance inaugural conference in NC (co-sponsored with the NC Department of Insurance) on December 10, 2013. In 2014, have continued to grow the membership of the Association and plan for the First Annual Conference scheduled for August 24- 26,2013, at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Also, the NCCIA promoted and secured the passage of a Technical Corrections Act to the NC Captive Insurance Law in both 2014 and 2015 which keeps the NC law on captives "state-of-the-art".
