Team leader in both workshop and site environments. Fabrication, welding, site management and installation experience in various construction projects across Eastern Australia. Promoted to workshop foreman for the duration of fabrication and welding work for Queensland Rail pedestrian bridge and platform at East Ipswich Station. Once back at university, my role changed back to a site worker, where regularly I aided in installation, welding and finishing works.Team Leader for installation works of metal work at the redevelopment of Fortitude Valley Music Hall. Works included extensive handrailing, heavy duty staircases and extensive work for the private booths. The role was managing workers and other trades who work was directly involved with the steelwork. Installation required a lot of forethought and often was changed or adjusted to suit the clint. The team was managed efficiently to stay on schedule and finish on time.

Having joined the SMEC team as an undergraduate I am in training to review engineering projects that have been implemented by the Water Infrastructure team. Use of technical software including Tedds and SPACEGASS as well as Microsoft Office has given me insight into how a multinational company can operate.
