At The Crown Estate I was responsible for:- Leading 3 direct reports to ensure they were engaged at work, were happy to be there, and were assisting the wider team in moving the same strategic direction.- Ensuring that all GIS analysis and outputs were delivered in a timely manner and to a high quality.- Created and strengthened both internal and external stakeholder relationships.- Sought out new efficiencies and opportunities for the GIS team to provide information thereby allowing our wider stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions.- Pushed for a more web-based approach to our GIS outputs.- Project managed several different projects at once.A large part of my role was the leadership of my 3 direct reports and stakeholder management, with less of a focus on doing GIS itself, although I still stayed very much aware of the latest changes in the GIS industry.

At the New Zealand Transport Agency I was responsible for:- Overseeing client-led project management work from inception to completion - Raising the geospatial team’s profile through important projects which contributed to the Agency’s key priorities - Designing and creating bespoke WebMaps - Managing internal and external datasets- Project managing larger-scale projects- Coordinating with vendors to improve the team’s spatial systems and serversThe majority of this work was carried out using the ESRI software suite, specifically ArcMap and Portal for ArcGIS.

In my graduate role at the New Zealand Transport Agency I was primarily responsible for:- Updating metadata of all of our GIS datasets- Creating bespoke PDF maps for other teams in the Agency

The purpose of this role was to digitise access tracks used by Transpower contractors to gain entry to energy assets held on private land. PDF maps and shapefiles were the main outputs for this project.
