I reported to the Senior Private Secretary, responsible for the business portfolio in Lord Callanan’s privateoffice, including Green Finance, audit, and economic crime.■ I commissioned and reviewed policy submissions to the minister, adding context and advice before his examination, and then providing his steers to senior officials to shape government policy accordingly.Key contributions:■ Oversaw introduction and second reading of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill; ensuring the minister was engaging stakeholders at the right level to secure political support, and that Bill products were submitted using correct processes to tight deadlines.■ Guided the department’s policy teams’ adaptation to process changes caused by two government reshuffles, maintaining a consistent service to the minister and the department.

■ I reported to the Head of Cross-Government Business Engagement Transformation in central GovernmentCommunications Service.■ I led a network of digital ‘champions’ in twelve government departments, disseminating best practices onintelligence sharing from meetings with businesses to better inform government as a whole.■ I was responsible for senior stakeholder engagement for ministerial Engagement Tracker, which includedverbal briefings for civil servants and written correspondence for Cabinet Office ministers.■ I was product owner of cross-government CRM, project managing third-party contractors to maintain anaudience-led communications database, which captured insights needed to target business audiences withrelevant information.Key contributions:■ Created and led the ministerial Engagement Tracker through the development lifecycle, implemented theservice across Whitehall, and designed an automated tool to produce quarterly transparency reports.■ Produced dashboards of thousands of ministerial meetings plotted against location, topic, and business sectorto Number 10 and Cabinet committees; the first time such data had been recorded and shared in real time.
