Grew the Software Operations team at Ike from the ground up to an 8 person team responsible for software tooling, simulation scenario design, and perception labeling. The projects below are examples of what members of the SWOps team built and maintained.SW Tooling:- This was originally a classic behavior triage role but we quickly realized the need for automation & tooling and it quickly morphed into a more technical SW development position.- Used Django web framework to build front end dashboard for tracking and interacting with data collection logs from our trucks.- Wrote python scripts for writing log metadata to a SQL database (which was then utilized by the dashboard above).- Developed scripts for slicing logs to only keep interesting portions and check for overlap across slices with respect to the various downstream use cases for logs.Simulation Scenario Design:- Used in-house simulator based on Unreal Engine to develop suite of scenarios to aid autonomy development and systems engineering tests.- Worked with Simulation Eng team (i.e. the ones who built the simulator itself) to provide "user" feedback on the tool and help guide its development.Perception Labeling:- Stood up a vendor-based labeling pipeline for various sensor modalities.- Worked with Ike perception team and labeling vendor to develop & maintain comprehensive label quality guidelines & best practices. - Trained & supported new hires in labeling QA & operational practices.- Used learnings from labeling operations to work with SW Tooling on improvements/automation (e.g. Jupiter notebooks for sending labeling tasks to vendor).

- Leads team of 10 responsible for triaging issues that occur while our autonomous vehicles drive through San Francisco- Influences AV development priorities using impact and exposure metrics for road quality events and trends- Owns AV software release management, setting quality gates, and signing off on AV quality through stages of release- Leverages comprehensive knowledge of AV stack to facilitate cross-functional feature design - Coordinates with Safety and Compliance team to assist in requirements definition, verification, and validation

- QA team lead to the Perception team; responsible for all perception-related root cause analyses and triage reporting- Worked with Perception team to prioritize bug fixes and new features based on observed road issues- Wrote test plans and simulations to verify new features for AV development teams

- Participated in flight tests including pre-flight checks/setup, in-flight telemetry monitoring, post-flight data analysis and reporting- Designed and built mechanical systems to support flight tests (e.g. transportation/ground based test fixtures, kite handling processes, etc.)- Debugged, installed, and fixed a wide variety of equipment from avionics to composite structures - Conceived and executed method for accurately determining the center of gravity of the kite, including sensitivity analysis of various error sources

I supported full rate production of tactical airborne radar systems. Worked closely with both mechanical and electrical engineering teammates to identify root causes and solutions for a variety of design and manufacturing challenges. I was also responsible for documenting and presenting critical manufacturing issues to internal leadership and our customer base. Day to day tasks included performing tolerance studies, generating CAD models/drawings, and working with suppliers on manufacturability improvements.Responsibilities:- Performing tolerance stack-ups, bolted joint analyses, etc. on complex assemblies- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and presenting a detailed path forward- Using lab data and FEA to validate hardware designs- General producibility improvements to reduce manufacturing time and cost- Extensive use of Pro/Engineer Creo2Experiences: - Led redesign of precision test equipment to adapt to new hardware requirements and increase efficiency- Worked with team on a reliability/durability test to qualify microelectronic packaging types- Circuit card assembly design and manufacturing, heat exchanger design, brazing processes, structural analysis, etc.

- Conceptualized, designed and participated in fabrication of various mechanical parts- Implemented electrical systems: variable frequency drives, programmable logic controllers, actuated valves, etc.- Hands-on system validations such as pressure testing reaction vessels and performing heat exchanger analyses- Developed strong troubleshooting skills and adaptability by being presented with new challenges every day
