Alexa is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies, minor in Mass Communications. During her time at Berkeley, Alexa worked in Media for GREY ADVERTISING, San Francisco with high profile client, Consolidated Freight Ways. From there she went on to spearhead various events/promotions working with the PR/ MARKETING department of SURFER, POWDER, SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINEs. She was recruited to lead the marketing/business development campaign for the BLUE ANGELS SKI/SNOWBOARD coaching program.Her industry experience lead to her next position as Advertising/Marketing Director of WAHINE MAGAZINE, the first ever women’s surf publication. She single handedly secured major advertising accounts: Quiksilver/Roxy, Reef, Vans, Volcom, 619, Point Conception, TYR, designed the publication’s annual marketing plans and pioneered multi cross promotional events.During this time, she co-created ADVENTURES FOR THE SOUL, a five star destination spa retreat company. She developed, marketed and lead unique spa get-aways based on the total balance of mind, body and soul. The activity packed trips included event receptions, private cooking classes/dinner parties, bike/horseback rides to wineries for catered picnic lunches, & hiking to mountain tops for private yoga sessions. She obtained such high profile clients as The Spa at South Coast Plaza, The Pacific Club, Big Canyon Country Club, Brookfield Homes, LNR, Union Bank of CA. Alexa, spear headed O.C. Business Development for international, eco-conscious design company, Environment Furniture Inc. She developed/facilitated the “Green Calendar of Events” in collaboration with 3 DOTS clothing, THE U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL, THE EGB of OC, SOUTH COAST PLAZA, RIVIERA MAGAZINE, C MAGAZINE, GREER’S OC, ORANGE WOOD, HEALTHY CHILD HEALTHY WORLD.Clients: Virgin Unite, Eve Branson Foundation, Home Exchange.com, Newport Harbor Alumni Association, Oceana, YPO, Bertea Aerospace & lists of private clients.
