I've been part of LRI’s journey since its start as a youth organization run by a group of passionate high schoolers, to its establishment as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer. Along this journey, I've evolved through various roles, from serving as the Mental Health Awareness Program Coordinator to assuming the responsibilities of the Cancer Awareness Program Coordinator. Now, as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, I remain steadfast in propelling our mission forward. We are dedicated to providing unwavering support to families, amplifying awareness, and fostering meaningful community engagement. In 2020, I founded Avalon Academic Assistance. Opened during the COVID-19 pandemic, Avalon: Academic Assistance is a friendly and welcoming online platform for students from around the world to seek academic help free of charge, make friends, find study resources, and help others in the subjects they are strong in. Our mission is to reduce education inequality by providing a free and widely accessible resource that allows students to enhance their learning and seek personal growth. I lead our staff team, manage the technical aspects of the server including our website, and also work as a general academic tutor. Over a span of almost 4 years, I've led Avalon's dedicated staff team in refining our services to optimize the experience of our members. - Developed and deployed production-level code to enhance metric analysis and listing tools for thousands of third-party sellers on the Amazon Business team, utilizing full-stack development with JavaScript, React, Java, CSS, and HTML. - Pitched an innovative idea for a new Customer Sentiment Analysis Dashboard Card with AI integration, gained team support, and developed a proof of concept within 2 days. - Developed and thoroughly tested a proxy for the Amazon API, a critical-path component essential for the successful deployment of a yet-to-be-released seller portal feature. - Gained experience with SCRUM/Agile project management methodology.

In my role on the Code/Art marketing team, I took on the creation of captivating and pertinent content tailored to both the company's ethos and prevailing social media trends. This included content ideation, drafting and design, as well as video editing for posts across the company’s various social media platforms. The content I created included media that promoted the company’s programs and products, boosted sales for the CodeYourSelf™ 2022 Book, and encouraged registration for the different Code/Art competitions and Code/Art clubs. Concurrently, I honed my skills in website design while enhancing our company site, broadening the project gallery to showcase an expanded range of student work. Additionally, I was involved in conducting interviews with Code/Art alumni and crafting captivating blog posts for our website. My work succeeded in engaging existing members of Code/Art, and, most importantly, furthered our overarching goal of tackling the gender disparity in tech.
