Horse Trainers Assistant turned Equine Veterinary Assistant. Extremely motivated and great multitasker. Self-taught skills in equipment maintenance such as: fixing technical issues with X-rays/ultrasounds/lasers, as well as mechanical issues in the generators and centrifuges. I specialize in assisting in equine lameness and travel to several horse shows throughout the year. Duties at horse shows include but not limited to: office work, scheduling, customer service, building and setting up stall fronts, lunging and trotting horses in-hand, preparing horses for injections, cleaning, X-Raying, and organizing/stocking vet boxes. I also assist vets in out-of-state farm calls. I’ve been rotated in on night shifts to assist vets in emergency colics, lacerations, sick foals, etc. I enjoy interacting with customers and making them feel comfortable and at home. Connecting with customers is my main goal and I became in charge of bereavements in the unfortunate case of a horse passing. With customers permission, I make horsehair bracelets/keychains free-of-charge for grieving owners as memorabilia. And last but not least, I’ve made it a point to have a fun and healthy work environment for myself and my co-workers. Thank you!
