Alexa has been dancing for 24 years. She graduated magna cum laude in May 2017 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in professional Spanish. She has extensive training in modern, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. Alexa also studied dance composition, dance history, dance kinesiology, and dance pedagogy. She was a member of the SRU Dance Theatre, where she choreographed pieces and performed in student choreographed works in various dance concerts. Alexa was fortunate enough to perform the repertory work of professors Ursula Payne, Jennifer Keller, Thom Cobb, and guest artist Matt Pardo. In August of 2017, Alexa attended the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company summer intensive on full scholarship to further her dance training with a professional dance company. Since 2019, she has attended the inspiring Rhee Gold DanceLife Teacher Conference as well as the Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey workshops to take classes from master teachers and learn new combinations that she is able to bring back to the studio to teach. Alexa loves sharing her passion of dance with students of all ages!
