I was hired to run Apparel division. The category is sleepwear and robes. The company total business is $600M for the year of 2016. Apparel division is still the small portion of the whole company business. We have Echo, Ink & Ivy, Wake & Wear By Ink & Ivy, Jammie's By Hip Style, Madison Park, Artology, Comforter Space etc for our products plus private labels. We are challenged to be $8M for the year of 2017 and $12M for the year of 2018.

 Lead whole merchandising team for stores. Lead fabric team to get the fabrics for all garment makers across all worlds.  Manage sourcing managers with their team for order executions. Oversee the whole process: source new vendors / new factories including trim suppliers, develop products, negotiate prices, factories’ capacity, manage and deliver product on time with good quality. Prepare yearly production planned according to the company’s targets by category. Well trained team members to achieve the company’s goal and satisfy with customers’ needs.  Closely work with US colleagues on the design, buying team and understand our final customers’ expectation.  Evaluate the supplier/factory performance by shipment by monthly to have the stable / reliable supplier base set up. Evaluate direct reporters performance and closely work with the team members to get the job done timely and efficiently.  Closely work with HK PD team for all development fabrics and samples. Deal on some critical problems if there is necessary. Closely work with supporting team (Technical, QC) to make production smoothly.Achievements:Annual Volume: FOB $134M China C/OGot more items moved to be handled by Shanghai merchandising team.Successful developed new supplier to satisfy our business needs.Re-structure the team to save headcount.Evaluate suppliers’ performance to set up strong / stable supplier matrix.Gain the trust from US colleagues.Build up relationship with existing suppliers / factories to get the right price / quality / delivery based on current business scale.

Run the business for Asia. Develop new customers and in charge of expense, budget set.

In charge of whole clothing business including accessories for Tesco stores (UK, Century Europe and Asia) including China stores.

In charge of business for US department stores, like Saks, Bonton, Marmaxx, Bloomingdales etc.

Response on US business for Marmaxx, Susan Bristol, Dillards, Nordstrom etc plus Australian customers.

Handle business for Jones New York and Kellwood.
