Provide in-person access to the records held at the National Archives at St. Louis.Help researchers from all walks of life through all the steps necessary to access military and civilian personnel records when they visit the Archival Research Room at the National Archives at St. Louis. Includes educating first-time visitors, callers, and writers about our holdings; helping customers understand and navigate all the possible options for accessing records; helping customers fill out requests for records; processing records requests; doing additional research using internal and external resources to identify the record(s) that best suit the researcher's goals; scheduling researcher appointments; training researchers on proper handling of often fragile records; providing oversight of researchers while they are actively using original records to prevent damage to or loss of original records; answer researcher's questions about the contents of records.

Archives Aid in the Records Retrieval Branch of the National Personnel Records Center.Facilitated timely and accurate access to the military personnel records held at this facility. Applied knowledge of collections and records management principles and knowledge of the specific collections (including their arrangement) to quickly and accurately locate records to fulfill requests by other federal agencies, veterans, and the larger public.

I assist Wendy Jessup in her duties as a collections care and preventive conservation consultant to museums and historical societies of a variety of sizes.I review any and all documentation related to a client's collections, and write report chapters that evaluate the current state of collections care and make suggestions on how to improve the collections care and ongoing preservation, taking into account the resources of the institution.I process and analyze environmental data gathered from electronic data loggers in order to create detailed on targeted recommendations on how to improve collections care in light of documented temperature, relative humidity, and light conditions impacting collections objects

Rehousing collections objects, focusing on building space efficient housings without sacrificing long-term protection for collections objects.

I coordinated with a team of six pest inspectors to complete the first Division-wide pest inspection of the Division of Vertebrate Zoology. I performed independent, specimen by specimen inspections of 3,448 specimen cabinets including inspections of mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish. Compiled data on evidence of past pest damage and current pest infestations and worked with collections staff to address pest issues impacting the collections specimens.

I performed multiple aspects of collections management necessary for maintaining intellectual control of the Lyceum's collection including inventorying storage spaces, updating electronic location records, processing and cataloguing previously undocumented objects, rehousing objects and resolving discrepancies between paper records and electronic records
