I write about all things Italy, examining the complexities of the country through both an insider and outsider perspective, whether that’s in an explainer of major current events (elections, local experience of global events, tourism chaos), using my knowledge of cultural and political history to provide readers with a clear analysis of what’s going on, or a "slice-of-life" feature (young olive oil growers, multigenerational beekeeping families and extraordinary gardeners).

As a Food Tank Research and Writing Intern, I pitched and reported articles related to food and agriculture issues around the world.

I was one of two graphics editors at the Columbia Missourian. As such, I oversaw the students in the infographics class who produce graphics for the paper. I brainstormed, assigned, managed and edited an average of four to 10 graphics a day before seeing them through the copy editing desk and publishing them online. During the Summer 2015, I was the sole graphics reporter for the Columbia Missourian. I was responsible for designing and producing all infographics (static and interactive) for the Columbia Missourian, which often required reporting and analyzing data sets with Excel and MySQL.
