I am a highly experienced editor and journalist, currently working as Deputy Editor of architecture and design magazine C20.Previous roles include Arts and Entertainment Editor at thelondonpaper and Media and Showbusiness Correspondent at the London Evening Standard. During my newspaper career and as a freelance writer I have worked across the breadth of hard news, features and reviews on a range of topics from the arts to politics, business, lifestyle and health. I have written for print and online publications including The Times, The Guardian, Tatler, GQ and the Powerlist of Most Influential Black Britons.I also freelance as a social media consultant crafting strategy, comms and content for arts, fashion, interior design and architecture clients. In a slightly leftfield move - with thanks to my eldest, who was diagnosed with multiple food allergies as a baby - I'm a writer, expert advocate and speaker on food allergy (including for the Food Standards Agency, Leon, the School Food Plan, The Allergy Team, the Institute of Hospitality), founder of weekly Twitter forum #allergyhour and a long-standing Free From Food Awards judge. My book 'My Family & Food Allergies: the All You Need to Know Guide' (Sheldon Press) was published in November 2021. I was named Free From Food Awards Hero for 2022.In memory of my friend, journalist Sarah Hughes, I am a trustee at the Sarah Hughes Trust and a judge for the Royal Society of Medicine's Sarah Hughes Trust Prize for Journalism. It aims to reward journalism that exposes false or misleading information in health or medicine.
