About Alexa Boksiner
I am an undergraduate sophomore at the University of Florida studying Biomedical Engineering. I am currently seeking a product design internship. My interests in medical devices and prosthetics led to my involvement in the organization Generational Relief in Prosthetics (GRiP) where I work in a team to design and develop task-specific devices for kids through SolidWorks and 3D-printing. This year, I will co-captain a team of seven to design a guitar strumming device for a child with hand disabilities. I am additionally involved in the UF organization Engineering Ambassadors, where I dedicate my time to assisting UF's Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering by leading tours to prospective engineering students and faculty, organizing special campus events, and participating in service projects. My goal is to specialize in biomechanics and work in industry designing prosthetic devices.
