Worked mostly on web-based design projects along with some graphic design support. Projects included responsibilities such as:1) Redesigning client websites - creating new style guides, card sorting, and followed by designing a new homepage and various internal page templates2) Creating wireframes and prototypes for more complex redesign projects3) Handoff of designs to dev and user testing4) Creating illustrations for an online educational AR app5) Creating graphics, logo updates, and supporting marketing material for rebrands

New Target is a company that designs and develops websites and in web applications for a variety of clients. My role for them overlaps between interactive design, UX design, user testing, and quality control. Responsibilities Include:- Design websites and in web apps. I strategize and work with clients, project managers, and other designers to create websites that effectively reflect the vision of the client and their users. - User Experience (UX) design during the strategy, design, and development phases of a project. I work with project managers, designers, and developers depending on the phase of the project, and use UX in a variety of different settings. My tasks can involve wireframes, user flows, consumer profiles, google analytics, competitor analysis, etc.- User testing during the design and development phases of projects. I help the project managers with user testing, collect notes, help create final recommendations, and create/update designs based on our findings.- Design quality control during the development phase. I ensure that the overall design and UX principals are maintained through the development phase. I also problem solve with developers on getting the front end code to work with the planned designs. Tools I Use-Extensive Knowledge: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Creative Cloud, Invision, Sketch -Working Knowledge: HTML, CSS, Drupal (I am not a developer but I have a general understanding of these things, and can make small changes in code myself)

Clarabridge is a software company that uses unstructured data and advanced text analytics to "transforms survey, social, voice and all other forms of customer feedback into intelligence used to empower confident, decisive action across the business." Responsibilities include:-Creating visual design under the Clarabridge brand through collaboration and teamwork with the marketing team. -Styling and designing datasheets, white papers, and powerpoint presentations-Producing visual assets for a variety of spaces such as blog posts, the website, events, apps, and e-mail.

Venveo is a marketing agency in Blacksburg that "creates strategic solutions through purposeful design."Responsibilities Include:-Managing graphics and design needs for retainer clients. Usually entails the creation of visual content and design for their website, tablet, and mobile platforms. -Edit, update, and create website mockups for retainer clients.-Work with employees on creative and design projects.-Help with the production of marketing analysis and resources when needed.

Venveo is a marketing agency in Blacksburg that "creates strategic solutions through purposeful design."Responsibilities Include:- Market Venveo through social media, specifically through the DIY Consumer twitter account.- Work with employees on marketing and advertising projects.- Aid with the production of graphic content.
