Had the position of a physical therapy technician and a patient administrative coordinator. I worked the clinical side of physical therapy which includes teaching patients exercises and physical therapy techniques. I also worked at the front desk as a patient administrative coordinator where I schedule patients, collect copays, verify insurance benefits, and perform excellent customer service.

Worked as a medical receptionist and a medical assistant at Heart & Vascular Care, a cardiology office. Responsibilities include entering data into Epic EHR system (Electronic Health Record), scheduling patient appointments, verifying medical insurance, patient registration, as well as discussing blood pressure logs with physician and informing patients of results. Other duties include taking medical vitals, EKG’s, and assisting the physician with all patient care.

Originally started as a student internship for Clinical and non-Clinical Medical Assisting in 2018 until 2019 at which time was offered full time employment as a certified Medical Assistant. Non-clinical Responsibilities included working with the EHR system (Electronic Health Record) program All Scripts, verifying patients for appointments, insurance verification, refill requests, and communicating test results / patient follow ups. Clinical responsibilities included preforming EKG tests, administering vaccinations, medical vitals, phlebotomy, and assisting the physician with other basic tasks.
