Responsible for the development of new computer vision/ AI capabilities, alongside real time data ingestion into the companies data analytics platform.

Shaping Ltd is an online safety technology start-up which aims to create technology to keep children safe online. I was hired as a backend/AI developer, though as the team was small I got involved in all aspects of delivering the technology product. Particular highlights include:• Being asked to take on the role of Product Manager. This involved coaching the CEO to turn his outcomes into prioritised items for delivery and working with the rest of the technology team to plan and estimate delivery. As a result, the technology team was able to implement the CEOs business vision with minimal waste.• Frequently leading technology demonstrations to the Shaping board (a non-technical audience). I produced documentation to assist with breaking down the technical content, allowing me to successfully communicate the product's state to stakeholders and generate questions and discussion which ultimately improved the product.• Shaping relies on a number of AI/ML components to function. I was able to identify libraries and algorithms that were available and support the implementation of these into the product, resulting in a time and cost saving for Shaping as well as a product that was easier to maintain.• Having identified a gap in the skillset of the team for cloud implementation, I independently identified training and became the de facto solution architect which ensured our application was well built and robust. This included: • Building a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for development. • Developing the products serverless architecture and implementing that in the cloud. • Working on AWS to develop back end services, API’s, databases and serverless functions.
