As a summer intern in the Aerial Communications department, I developed and integrated missile pursuit functionality into an in-house C++ simulation environment to analyze the operational benefits of battle scenario technological decisions. As a result of these efforts, we recognized the need for a graphical user interface to visualize these aerial battle simulations both for development purposes and customer demonstrations. After surveying and recommending several options, I implemented a standalone graphical playback program to parse simulation data and replay simulation capabilities.After the completion of the summer internship, I continued working part-time while in school to support the scaling of the simulation environment. For this work I ported the program from a Linux to Windows environment and worked on debugging and profiling the code as new functionality was introduced. Finally, in order to demonstrate the ease of integrating the in-house simulation with other physics-based simulation engines, I created a client socket program to send and request critical scenario data.
