Salm Partners is the nation's largest co-manufacturer of fully cooked sausage and hot dogs, producing fully 15% of the cooked-in-package sausage in the United States. In a fast-paced 6s (Six Sigma) environment, my role as part of a leadership team is to bring maximum efficiency and production from human assets across all aspects of the manufacturing process and monitor appropriate materials usage to achieve maximum yield in my assigned area of operations. Responsibility for directing overall line production operations and ensuring the achievement of objectives consistent with the company quality, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction standards. Ensure staff compliance and required documentation is prepared for all safety, food safety, quality, GMP, SQF and USDA regulatory requirements. Oversee and coach (lead, train, and mentor) subordinate staff while creating a safe line environment and culture. Maintain an environment of continuous improvement. See that all company policies, SOPs, and objectives are clearly understood by staff and effectively applied on the line. Review and approve for shipping finished goods (in compliance with all HACCP (Hazard and Critical Control Point) and customer quality standards. Provide daily supervision to line QA (Quality Assurance) staff to ensure all SOPs, USDA and customer regulations / specifications are met and documented. Audit resource use versus yield (profit / loss). Provide daily written reports to executive leadership regarding production, line activity, and resource usage. Interface with USDA Field Inspectors during line checks and inspections. Cross-trained to fill-in at various positions in plant production. Assignments have included ADCO, post-secondary packaging, offline-sleeving, QX5, QX2 lines and palletizing operations.
