• Provided systems engineering expertise to the NOAA NWS NextGen Aviation/Integrated Dissemination Program (IDP) in determination of the data format, transport, messaging, and metadata standards to be adopted for NextGen and IDP. Standards under consideration included OGC WCS and WFS, JMBL, WXXM, netCDF, ebXML• Participated in development of the NextGen IT Architecture and documenting it in the Architecture and Design documents• Provided systems engineering expertise to the NOS’ US Integrated Ocean Observing System (US IOOS), in support of their Data Management and Communications (DMAC) system• Identified core DMAC architecture principles and areas of intersection with the NOAA Enterprise Architecture (EA)• Currently, involved into the following DMAC development efforts:­ - development of GetCapabilities, DescribeSensor and GetObservation templates for various feature types under the SOS IOOS Profile;­ - definition of the IOOS SOS interface, and description in the IOOS Web Service Description Document;­ - development of test strategy and plans for testing of the IOOS SOS implementations for interoperability and conformance to the OGC and IOOS specifications.
