Production Technician
Current• Ensures the operation of machinery as required by completing preventative maintenance on bag making machines and systems. • Locates source of problems by observing and assessing machines in operation, observing problems, and selecting the appropriate course of action. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices within level of responsibility using hand and power tools. • Adjusts functional parts of the machine and control instruments using the necessary hand tools as required.• Comply with Detmold Packaging WHS policies, procedures & relevant Health & Safety legislation. • Responsible for ensuring their safety & safety of other employees. • Report any potential workplace WHS hazards, incidents & proactively provide solutions. • Maintains a safe & clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules. • Achieve production targets as set for the machine by managing downtime, resources, and equipment. • Set-up machines, maintain run speeds & efficiency to product specifications. • Minimize downtime, troubleshoot issues. • Participate in the planning of the machines to optimize performance. • Ensure all products are produced to product specifications & aid in resolution of quality complaints. • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Comply with best practices, standard operating procedures, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Participates in an extensive training program specific to the machines operated (attached for consideration) and attending any training deemed necessary as a part of the role and to maintain relevant skills and knowledge.
