New Alliance Corporation is a boutique investment bank, targeting sovereign and commercial debt, equity trading and project finance in Russia and other CIS countries.Traded Russian equity and fixed income instruments including past due Vnesheconombank Loans (Vnesh Loans, Ministry of Finance of Russian Federation bonds (Minfin bonds), Short-Term state obligations (GKO) and other debt instruments. Was responsible for establishing Corporate Finance Activities. Led business development effort in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Almaz USA Inc. (Formerly Salmaz PGM, Inc.) - Platinum Group Metals (PGM) marketing and trading JV between Salomon Brothers Inc. and Almazjuvelirexport (Russia). Established the JV Company. Designed and implemented strategic and operational concept of the company. Initiated and oversaw trading and sales of all Russian PGM sales to US. Led marketing of Russian PGM to US customers in Automobile, Oil, Chemical and Dental industries. Established direct relations and supplied PGM to Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, Exxon, Shell Oil, Allied Signal and Chevron. Directed marketing operations in Europe and Japan. The clientele included Renault, Citroen, Saint-Gobain, Philips, Nissan, Sumitomo, Nissho Iwai and Tanaka. Devised and implemented mechanism and led negotiations to originate sovereign Russian loans collateralized with PGM in the amount of more than $500 mln. Oversaw trading and traded Platinum and Palladium on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). Traded Gold and Silver on New York Commodity Exchange.(COMEX). Traded Platinum and Palladium on Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM). Was member of the Advisory Committee of NYMEX in 1991-94 (The committee comprises a selected group of market professionals from major PGM trading companies who elaborate recommendations to NYMEX Management on major aspects of Exchange's activities).
