Worked as a Site engineer on the Western Treatment Plant project (Refurbishment of the 105W Sludge Drying Pans).Main responsibility is delivering a high standard of quality assurance throughout the project through: o ITP development and collation (over 1200 tests), working closely with the site lab technician and Level 1 geotechnical engineer. o Quality database development and management (self-developed), reporting to the project manager o Daily use of Topcon GPS equipment for various tasks such as: o Setting out concrete structures o Picking up clay test locations o Ensuring level tolerances are met and within design o Working on As-Built surveys of pipelines and conduitso Troubleshooting and working closely with operators on any GPS issues o Working on AutoCAD and Magnet office, and exporting design files to a rover or GPS machine o Work with subcontractors in regards to heights and locations of pipelines.o Attend safety walks with the client to identify any key health and safety issues.o Attend weekly site meetings with managers and supervisors to discuss the project in relation to any issues and reviewing project timeline.o General administration responsibilities including timesheets for engineers, supervisors and operators, stock take lists, purchase orders for products we require on site.Being a part of the estimating team, tasks involving: o Calculating quantities of materials using AutoCAD/Design Review/MAGNET office(modelling) o Liaising with various suppliers/subcontractors to get quotes o Working/editing companies pricing spreadsheet o Completing tender documentation o Helping with the creation of project programs
