    Managed a primary school network with 300+ devices and 800+ users.Planned, costed and oversaw several projects including a new Ruckus Wifi network install within school covering 6 buildings over two sites.     Got the opportunity to work in many different positions for a minimum of seven weeks per position. With some departments requesting either extensions of my time or for me to head back to their departments to help with the heavy workload.Departments worked in:VOIP Install Team: Building handsets, replacing conventional phones within busy Birmingham City Council Offices around the city and helping with the transfer of the original numbers to the new handsets.1st Line Helpdesk: Trained under an amazing 1st line employee and worked with an excellent team. Answered calls requesting support from password resets to critical system failures. Had a good first-time fix rate and even made the top three 1st line employees in my last month working in that department.Network Team: Helped repair small network faults in large network cabs stationed around the city. Stripped and decommissioned equipment in sites moving locations. Helped deal with network incidents logged by the 1st line and dished out those tickets to relevant staff. Was trained to complete the VOIP setup process from the back end to assist the VOIP install team.Link2ICT: Educational arm of Service Birmingham. Worked 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line resolving issues regarding automated backups failing to iPad network issues during the first sightings of iPads in schools. Worked with the engineer team to plan site visits for repairs and encryption jobs and sometimes visited sites with engineers to help with the workload. Supported Sophos Anti-Virus and assisted in remotely updating Sophos servers within schools.Desktop Refresh Team: Installed new desktops and laptops in many City Council locations for office staff and mobile workers. Assisted in setting up 3G networking for mobile users to access council sites remotely. Migrated data from old machines to new and reported any issues with equipment/software being installed into the field back to Service Birmingham for solutions to be worked on by other teams.
