While I don’t have much musical talent myself, I’m a music lover who’s interested in solving questions at the intersection of music, technology and copyright. Who should be compensated for AI generated music? How can we ensure musicians are being compensated fairly for their streams? I want to make the music industry fairer and more transparent as a digital music industry professional. I have experience in music data analysis, music publishing and copyright operations. Before deciding to pursue my passion for music I worked in commercial real estate, where I gained transferable skills in project management, research and presentation, and financial analysis. In my current role I’m responsible for online claiming quality assurance, delivering data to DSPs and working on rights administration tasks in the YouTube CMS. I am also currently working on becoming YouTube certified and just finished my first course on Asset Monetization. Since the beginning of the year I have been learning SQL and am already regularly using Google Big Query to analyze large amounts of data. I recently completed a three credit course at The Technische Universität Berlin, Python for Data Analysis and Visualization, and will soon be working on process automation within my role. I am highly motivated to improve my coding skills and become a music data analysis expert. When I’m not working, I’m passionate about cycling, hiking, and food, both eating and cooking! Last year I got a new bike and went on bikepacking trips in Spain and France.Feel free to message me – I’d love to chat! You can also reach me at: alexanderjcammarata@gmail.com
