I am the Gallagher Re Claims Process Lead. My principal duties/responsibilities are: • To be the primary focus for the XOL Claims functions within Gallagher Re• To be responsible for establishing and embedding process, templates and controls across operations within the XOL Claims Unit• Drive process standardisation and simplification• Stewardship of the Eclipse and OpenTWINS processes and systems for the XOL Claims Unit in Ipswich and Gallagher Re globally including co-ordination of testing new releases; deployment of the system to overseas offices etc• Aid in the development, implementation and monitoring of workflow completion and best practice across the XOL Claims Unit• Review of XOL Claims Unit productivity and metrics performance. Liaise with Claims Managers to address where improvement required• Recognise skill deficiencies across the XOL Claims Unit and provide proposals for resolution• Awareness of external/market proposals and objectives. Interpret and provide guidance/procedural clarification of impact upon our processes• Identify and promote new and innovative ideas with regard to current working practices and systems• Ensure adherence to standardised Group policies and procedures• Represent Gallagher Re at all internal inter-departmental XOL Claims process groups• Accept ownership for, manage and implement projects• Support the delivery of technical process training Skills: I am/able to/have: • Exceptional knowledge of the Eclipse and OpenTWINS broking systems, as well as the CLASS system• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment• Hold others accountable• A self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision• Excellent time management and organisational skills• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyse information; develop alternative solutions• High attention to detail and concern for quality• An enthusiastic and confident team player• Excellent communication skills both oral and written• Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders; from operational teams to senior management• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint• Able to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge/Experience: I am/able to/have: • Detailed knowledge of the Reinsurance XOL Claims process• Experience of representation on Market or company XOL Claims forums• Experience within operations and of project work and methodologies• Experience of achieving results through others
