Alexander Davis is a Director in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting LLP (“FTI”). Based in London (UK), Alex works across financial, M&A, activism, corporate and crisis strategic communications and investor relations for a range of global public and private companies with a focus on the life sciences and healthcare sector. During his tenure at FTI, he has been involved in >$60bn of M&A and has worked on high profile mandates for corporates including; AstraZeneca, BenevolentAI, Hoffmann-La Roche, John Wood Group, MultiChoice, Samsung Bioepis and Vectura. Recent and notable public transactions that Alex has worked on include; John Wood Group on its possible takeover(s) by Sidara and Apollo Global Management, MultiChoice’s ongoing recommended acquisition by Canal+, Cycle Pharmaceuticals’ proposal to acquire Vanda Pharmaceuticals, invoX Pharma’s successful take private of F-Star Therapeutics, AstraZeneca’s acquisition of Alexion, Vectura’s competitive takeover by Philip Morris International and Arsenal Capital Partners on its first take private with Cello Health. He also works with numerous corporates and advisors on confidential activism defence situations, aswell as ensuring general defence preparedness.Alex has supported on >$750m in fundraising activities for companies including the AIM IPO of AOTI and Verona Pharma’s NASDAQ IPO alongside multiple secondary capital raises for London listed companies including; Diurnal, e-therapeutics, Oncimmune, Redx Pharma and Scancell, aswell as private series rounds for; Apollo Therapeutics, Cydar Medical and Oxular. Additionally, he has been involved in the successful strategic execution of numerous Capital Markets Days including; Adaptimmune Therapeutics, Hoffmann-La Roche, Trillium Therapeutics and Vitrolife Group. Alex holds a first-class degree in Business Administration and Management. During his undergraduate degree he acquired knowledge and experience of the corporate finance and advisory landscape for listed companies having worked freelance for Northridge Advisory Services.
