Business Manager
CurrentHired to oversee day-to-day business operations of the Jo Malone London Counter for the Estée Lauder Companies. Directly managing a team of 3 to hit counter goal of $1M/year and increase sales, YoY, from clientele business book.Leadership Responsibilities: • Target Achievement: Create a strategic plan to achieve sales goal target, MoM, for direct reports, and counter. Currently at a 12.1% increase from last year; fiscal month is July-June and currently at ~$350,000 YTD.• Data Analysis: Pull raw sales data, each day, to uncover trends and area of opportunity for counter and direct reports. Create & send monthly executive summary to account executive at Nordstrom & Estée Lauder Companies.• Client Relationship Building: Creating & maintaining a strong book to maintain relationships with top buyers to ensure long term success & growth. Currently at a +14% increase on book utilization.• Workforce Management: Deliver coaching & accountability discussions to help develop direct reports. Assist with scheduling, individual duties, ordering collateral, & training compliance.• Product Knowledge: Knowing full product specs for roll-out and training of direct reports. Understanding the importance of making sure direct reports are fully confident in their product knowledge to help drive sales.Key Accomplishments: • Cost Reduction: Took over ordering collateral (non-selling items) and organization of back-of-house, saved ~$5-10k from improper over-ordering on certain items that had a massive surplus in the backroom.• Consistency: Achieved #1 in Beauty department, MoM, since I have joined the team. My counter is personally responsible for 7.8% of Nordstroms profit in the Beauty Department where the next closest is at 3.1%.• Team Achievements: I assisted with the promotion of one of my direct reports to a higher role in a field she has been trying to get into for two years. MoM, my 3 direct reports are in top 10 out of 80+ sellers.
