In this internship at the First Bank of Berne I have been assigned many roles within different departments at the bank. I completed a competitive analysis over our line of consumer banking products relative to the competitors within our different markets. This information not only provided insight to upper management, it also helped me develop a higher understanding of our bank from the consumer side.My friend Isaac and I helped plan our annual cyber security symposium in which we invited some of our business clients to not only inform them over the seriousness of cyber security attacks but to offer them insight on how to mitigate some of that risk. Planning this event was a wonderful learning experience and involved a lot of collaboration with my partner Isaac as well as enhanced problem solving skills.I attended many sit ins with business clients of ours to see how our business bankers helped make the dreams of some of these businesses come through, not only through talking through financial sheets, but maintaining a relationship with these customers!I am writing this a couple of weeks into the internship and feel I have already learned so much! I look forward to many more great weeks with the First Bank of Berne!

In my summer spent with the Wilson Brothers, I refined a lot of the skills I learned with MD. Some of the new skills I attained at this position included a higher level of self management, as well as team management. I spent my time working majority with the hardscape crew where we installed paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and more!

In this retail landscaping job I took on, I worked in a smaller crew where we installed multiple different types of landscapes and hardscapes. Because of the smaller crew we all had our own set roles. My main role during my time at MD was installations and renovations to commercial properties. This role involved a high level of problem solving as well as collaboration within a team!

I worked as a lifeguard for two summers in which I undertook multiple lines of work. I had the responsibility of opening and closing the pool, serving customers during break time, and enforcing rules among the patrons. It was a highly collaborative role, where I had to solve problems with my other coworkers.
