I am a professional World music multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, teacher, and exotic musical instrument repairman living and working in the Washington DC metro area. I play many instruments from all over the globe, specializing in Indian classical strings such as SITAR, SURBAHAR, and DILRUBA, play the TABLA drums and BANSURI flute very competently as well. I began my musical life teaching myself how to play the harmonica. I spent my childhood and young adulthood being a devoted classical and jazz trumpeter, and began another musical journey into improvisation, spontaneous composition, indigenous tribal musics, ethnic hand drumming, and sacred geometry and harmonics in my early 20's, which led me through an evolutionary multiple year study of musical traditions and acoustic musical instruments from every part of the world, in search of the most primal, universal, practical sounds and rhythms that produce the greatest magic music is capable of.
