I am a polymer chemist engaged in the research and development of polymeric materials for bio-applications. These include bioseparation media such as polymer-coated porous and non-porous adsorbents and supermacroporous polymer gels (cryogels), carriers for enzyme immobilization for aqueous and organic media, smart polymers with affinity functions and biosensors, diverse methods for surface modification and polymer grafting applicable to the isolation, purification or detection of sugars, lectins, immunoglobulins, bacterial and viral antigenes. I was among the first scientists who put forward N-substituted polyacrylamides as components of bioseparation and bioconjugation media in 1990-ties, developed several bioaffinity materials and reagents of practical significance, especially those containing boronic acids with specificity to carbohydrates and glycoproteins, as well as metal-chelating smart polymers. Boronate-containing materials made possible controlled affinity adhesion and detachment of viable mammalian cells. I am an author of 80 publications including regular papers, book chapters and patents, reviewer in a number of international journals (JACS, Biomaterials, Biomacromolecules etc.). I have a wide experience of international collaborations; have been working in several European countries. After some years in the industry, I am used to communication and collaboration with customers, correspondence with patent lawyers and defending patents. Active in ResearchGate as a consultant.
Listed skills include Filters, Affinity Purification, Ion Exchange, Diffusion, and 26 others.
