I developed proof-of-concept applications which support Givaudan's IT strategy and core business needs in digital innovation at diverse points in the value chain such as creation, evaluation, marketing, manufacturing, with projects including web applications, embedded devices and setup of research and development partnerships with external institutions both academic and commercial.-----Recent activities include:- introduction of Virtual Reality (VR) as a communication tool through product scouting at the emergence of the technology (early 2015), rapid action in identifying potential interesting content and filming organisation. The film shown below was then deployed on devices shown to our customers and peers within Givaudan, allowing further brainstorming of potential novel uses of the technology.- introduction of a mobile conferencing service designed to boost engagement during events, from first contact and application customization to successful usage in many events and finally consolidation of the service within the IT portfolio.- Independent development of several internal Google Sites for business, communications and IT with novel web applications attached utilizing the Google Script APIs, including close collaboration with business partners throughout the development stages, deployment and handover within maintenance activities. - Prototyping using microcontroller technology (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) to showcase tangible Internet of Things (IoT) examples to a business audience, enabling ideation and brainstorming the development of further digital business opportunities.
