Working for Samsung Heavy Industries as Subsea Supervisor. Responsible for preservation, maintenance and re-activation of warm stacked drillships. Ensco DS10, Seadrill 11 and 12, PDC 8 and Ocean rig 9 and 10. Responsibilities included training of local personnel in all aspects of subsea and well control equipment.

During my 8 + years with Seadrill I have been involved in five New Build Ultra deep water Drill Ship and Semi-Submersible projects in Geoje Island South Korea, China and Singapore. Seadrill semi-submersible. Subsea Supervisor standing in for one trip. Jan - May 2015. Sevan Developer Shanghai China for Seadrill. Commissioning Subsea equipment on-board, including Cameron EVO BOP. Oct 2014 - Dec 2014. Dubai office for Seadrill. Working on re-construction of maintenance tree for West Aquarius. Oct 2013 - Sept 2014. Seadrill West Tellus. Involved from start of construction through to commissioning and completion. Start up of operations with one well in China for CNOC followed by one well in Liberia for Chevron. Rig was then stacked in Las Palmas waiting for contract. Jan 2010 - Sept 2013. Seadrill West Hercules Semi-Submersible in South China Sea as Subsea Engineer. The rig was contracted to Husky and CNOC. My responsibilities include: Overall safe running of the Subsea Department. Preparation of BOPs for running and pulling. Calculating space out and weights. General maintenance of all Subsea related equipment. Pressure and function testing equipment. Daily, weekly and end of tour reports. Budget and stock control for department. Liaise with clients during operations.

Singapore: Working on board semi-submersible drilling rig Songa Mercur. Upgrade all subsea systems in preparation for new contract. Shaffer NXT BOP.

Subsea engineer on board semi-submersible drilling vessel, Stena Dee and Stena Clyde. Answering to the senior tool pusher my responsibilities include: Overall safe running of the subsea department, carry out planned maintenance inspections and overhaul of all subsea equipment, stock control, running and pulling BOP and other subsea tools, strip down and repairs, troubleshooting, calculating space outs, stack up heights, landing weights and unlatching weights etc. Completed competence assurance program. Started with Stena Drilling as hydraulic engineer. Promoted to subsea engineer within two years. Subsea equipment on board includes; Cameron 18¾” 15k stack, Cameron 15k choke manifold, NL Shaffer 80k dual riser tensioner system x 5, Maritime hydraulics 80k dual riser tensioner system x 1, NL Shaffer 16k guideline and pod-line tensioner system x 6, Maritime hydraulics drill string compensator, Maritime active compensator, Vetco FCH-8 riser system.

Employed as hydraulic fitter/technician involved mainly with installation and commissioning of dive systems and dive handling systems. Other work involved cable handling vessels and the installation of control systems for gas compression systems.
