Building a full web service company from the ground up has been an invaluable experience. As Head of Design of my company, I quickly observed the value of coordination, the work ethics of sole responsibility, and the balance of managing a team of designers and developers on several simultaneous projects. Our clients ranged in project size, platform, industry, and almost every other metric, making work an equally exciting and rewarding endeavor, and affording a diverse background of experience and knowledge.

Employment with this exceptional establishment allowed me to work with customers to produce various high quality design and printing solutions. Services included document digitizing, multi-page layout/graphic/typographic design, file prep for print, large scale print runs, various binding and mounting methods, and shipping.After relocating from Boston to NYC, I remained on call for assistance with tasks to complete remotely.

As a Graphic Designer and Project Manager, I focused on client intake, following concurrent projects through production. I would research and collect information, draft initial scopes of work, and generate user stories. Then I’d work through the stages of wireframing, design, and front-end development, while being the line of communication between all parties. The value provided to clients resulted in professional relationships long outlasting my employment with the company.
