    My work is aimed to determine the effect of physical parameters of polymeric vascular targeted carriers as a drug delivery system to assist in long term goal of future treatment in cardiovascular disease. I assisted in an in-vivo experiment where the result of my work was a visual representation of the increased binding efficiencies of vascular-targeted micro-rods over the equivalent spherical diameter spheres. Combining my experience in confocal microscopy and photo-lithography techniques to develop microfluidic channels, I was able to visually show how red blood cells impact the spatial distribution of particles of various geometries and sizes in micron sized channels.
