Industries covered include insurance, wealth management, retail banking, asset leasing, gaming, data services, and pensions administration.• Alex has over 38 years’ experience in financial services including executive leadership roles as CIO, Head of Technology, COO and Head of Integration. He has worked with RBS, NatWest, Ulster Bank, Aviva, Scottish Widows and Direct Line. The scale of Alex’s responsibilities has included direct accountability for annual budgets of £135m and global teams of around 600 FTEs. • Alex’s experience and achievements include leading business and technology integrations, technology carve-outs, re- platforming, outsourcing, business transformations, trouble-shooting challenging programmes, resetting regulator and client relationships, introducing Agile and microservices, and improving technology risk management. Alex has direct experience of establishing outsourced technology organisations in India and successfully integrating these with the parent organisations product and technology strategy. • Independently, Alex provides consultancy services to major global consulting firms such as McKinsey and to global technology vendors. Alex is also a non-executive director with a technology-driven young venture in the hospitality sector based in the UK but now expanding into the US and India.
