Alexander has worked with Crowe Germany for almost 20 years and has gained experience across various industries as a qualified consultant and auditor for German middle class companies and for US-listed companies.In the Risk Consulting branch Alexander has been a leading member of the EMEA Region team of the Crowe Global network for many years and is managing and executing cross-border internal audit and consulting engagements.Alexander has recently joined Crowe Global’s ESG service line and is focusing on CSRD and EU Taxonomy implementation services for national and international businesses.Over the course of his professional career, Alexander has gained a deep knowledge of business processes, an understanding of the various risks associated with the business processes, and the valuation and remediation of these risks through implementing best practice internal controls solutions. Alexander’s focus of audit and assurance activities ranges from supporting and advising in-house internal audit functions – working on a co-source or partnering arrangement, to providing an organization’s internal audit capability on a fully outsourced basis – helping boards and audit committees to establish what they need and how it can be delivered.Being frequently part of multi-national composed internal audit teams, Alexander is fully familiar with working in an international environment. He engages as a consultant for global clients helping to fulfill the various compliance requirements in their German operations, or conducts financial reviews for German clients abroad.Alexander has been working with national and international clients in the different industries on the improvement of their internal controls over financial reporting for many years. As such, he has the expertise to implement a robust ESG framework with adequate controls and reporting structures, helping businesses to fulfil the compliance requirements stipulated by the CSRD and the ESRS.Alexander is very proficient with the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements and the COSO Internal Controls over Financial Reporting Framework. He has been repeatedly engaged to design and implement SOX compliant business controls in both the German and worldwide operations of US listed companies and/or the testing of these controls for many years.
