• Ensure compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other laws and regulations for Corps Civil Works projects, 408 permitees, and Interagency customers. • Write Environmental Assessments (EA), such as the Beneficial Use of Dredged Material (BUDM) in the Cumberland Dividings and the Emergency 408 for the Golden Ray Wreckage Removal.• Write assessments and complete coordination and consultation for the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act (401, 402, and 404), Essential Fish Habitat, Coastal Zone Management Act, and others including State of Georgia Stream Buffer Variance and Coastal Marshlands Protection Act. • Review compliance history for operations for hydropower dams and reservoirs on the Savannah River, identifying gaps and providing recommendations, and briefing senior leadership on further actions required to demonstrate compliance. • Serve as lead Biologist on Project Delivery Teams (PDTs) for water resources projects.• Serve as Environmental Lead for Formerly Used Defense Sites projects and prepare Ecological Resource Plans.• Develop Monitoring and Adaptive Management Plans for projects such as the Marsh Restoration Project at Dredged Material Containment Area 1S. For this restoration project I formed a partnership with another district, utilizing their Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Program to monitor the progress of the restoration, reducing cost and increasing efficiency of the monitoring effort. • Primary author of a Technical Note (agency-wide guidance on best practices) on agency coordination for BUDM projects published by the USACE Engineering Research and Design Center in 2024.• Develop scope, schedule, and budgets for water resource projects and interagency customer projects.• Collaborate with resource agencies and stakeholders to inform better decision making. • Guide new employees through the comprehensive cost/benefit analysis process, which resulted in positive feedback from agency technical reviewers
